Lakeland Care is pleased to share a free training opportunity for contracted residential providers, including assisted living and adult family home staff. Developed by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and offered through UW–Green Bay, the HCBS Settings Rule Training helps providers better understand federal Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) requirements and how to support members in the most integrated, person-centered settings possible.
The training covers:
- The history and goal of the HCBS Settings Rule
- Programs and settings the rule applies to
- Person-centered planning principles
- Federal settings rule requirements
- How staff can support compliance
- Additional HCBS resources and tools
This training is offered at no cost to eligible providers. We strongly encourage residential providers and staff at each setting to complete the training to strengthen their understanding of HCBS requirements and best practices.
The Lakeland Care promo code is LCI-SETTINGS-2. The code is valid through December 31, 2026, or until all available vouchers have been used. Learn more and register here.
