Self-Directed Supports

What is Self-Directed Supports?

Self-directing your services offers you choice as it relates to your outcomes, desires, wants, or needs.

You choose:

  • Who provides your services
  • When services are provided
  • Where your services are provided
  • How your services are provided

If you choose to self-direct, you have the option to direct one or more of your services. It is not an “all or none” approach.

Why choose to Self-Direct Your Services?

  • SDS offers you choice.
  • SDS offers you flexibility.
  • SDS gives you a voice.
  • SDS increases your independence.

SDS empowers you as the employer and supervisor of your own employees!
