Lakeland Care, Inc. Strengthens Communities Through ‘Day of Giving’
Lakeland Care, Inc., an organization with a mission to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and inspire futures, continues its commitment to supporting and uplifting the community through its annual ‘Day of Giving.’ Throughout May and June, Lakeland Care employees volunteered their time to assist local providers with yardwork, spring clean-up, and engagement with residents/members.
“Our mission at Lakeland Care, Inc. is centered on building better lives through community empowerment,” said Sara Muhlbauer, Chief Executive Officer of Lakeland Care, Inc. “Volunteering not only helps our communities but also brings personal fulfillment to our employees. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a positive impact, and we encourage our employees to find time to support causes they care deeply about.”
As part of this commitment, Lakeland Care, Inc. provides 24 hours of ‘Volunteer Time Off’ per year in addition to other designated volunteer days, such as the ‘Day of Giving’ to encourage its employees to engage in volunteerism. Lakeland Care’s 2nd annual ‘Day of Giving’ resulted in a donation of 468 staff hours to 47 providers throughout 21 counties.
Lindsey Stodola, Care Management Supervisor for Lakeland Care, Inc., fondly recounted her ‘Day of Giving’ experience at a local Senior Center, “Calling bingo was such a great experience, the group of individuals playing bingo all knew each other and were cheering each other on if they won. The experience was fun and exciting, and my cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling the whole time.” As Lakeland Care, Inc. continues to forge strong connections within the community, its employees remain dedicated to creating a meaningful impact through their unwavering commitment to volunteerism. By inspiring and empowering others to make a difference, Lakeland Care, Inc. paves the way through its vision of creating a world we all want to live in.
